Turn a Decision into a Communication Pack
What you need to do today: turn a decision that has been approved into the right messages for each group of people without changing the core meaning.
20 minutes.
Two real sources.
I have a job to do.
✅ Output: a media for multiple groups
1. The core message
2. What the recipient needs
3. Adjust your speech
4. Improving communication
1. The same decision, but not the same message to everyone
The decision is final:
Expand the pilot program to three more stores in HCM City. Not all six stores have been deployed.

3. Before writing to each group, keep the key things unchanged
Keep it together.
- We're expanding three more stores.
- The six stores are not fully operational.
- Keep track of it for four weeks.
- There is no definite conclusion about long-term stretching.
Don't add yourself.
- No specific sales boost.
- Not to call the experiment a complete success.
- Not to mention the entire rollout was cleared.
Break down the decision note into: 1. The core information must remain the same. 2. The uncertain information must remain the same. 3. The unsolicited information must not be self-added or promised.
You're here.
You've locked the core truth. What part of that truth does each group of people need to know?
4. Do not write in the form of a pencil, but in the form of the needs of the recipient.

5. The same truth, different ways of speaking
For the Executive Board
The expansion proposal controls three more approved stores. The goal is to continue testing the actual response while limiting financial risk.
For the store manager
Please complete the prepared checklist before the launch date and report any training, POS material or system issues immediately.
Changing the way you say things doesn't mean changing the truth. The core information must remain the same; only the level of detail, focus and call to action change.
From the same decision note, write to each group: - what they need to know; - what they need to do; - what they don't need to be told. - Keep the core facts. - Don't add new commitments. - Don't make uncertainties certain.

You've completed Lesson 11.
You've turned a decision into a bunch of different messages while still keeping the core truth.
One sentence to carry: The same truth, but each group of people needs a different part of that truth to act well.
